 We commence Year 10 GCSE History by studying the History of Crime, Police and Punishment from the 1800s to the present day. We complete a Controlled Assessment on this topic in December. The Controlled Assessment is worth 25% of the History GCSE.  From January, we study the history of Germany from 1918 to 1939. This is assessed by an exam in June worth 25% of the History GCSE. A trip to Berlin is planned for April 2011. By the end of Year 10, students will have completed half of their History GCSE.
